According to a newly released article by The Wrap, some insiders from Amazon MGM reported that Christopher Nolan remains at the top of the list when it comes to possible directors to bring back James Bond.
After legendary filmmaker Michael G. Wilson stepped down and gave way for Amazon MGM to take the reigns of James Bond intellectual property, the executives have been looking for the better and more effective way to bring back the action franchise.
Taking last sunday's Oscars as an example, as they have a tribute act from RAYE, Doja Cat and LISA from Blackpink performing some of the iconic James Bond songs, probably tasting how much interest audiences take on the IP with these new versions.
And with so many promising writers and directors out there, making the right choice can be quite tricky. According to rumours, after the success of 'TENET' as an spy movie, Christopher Nolan was going to direct a 007 movie before he went on to make the Oscar winner film 'Oppenheimer'.
Currently Nolan is working on 'The Odyssey', his next big project full of A-listers, so it's unlikely he'll sign any deals as of now, but if the insiders are correct and Amazon plays the right cars, he is definitely the best choice they can make if they want to allure people to go the theater and watch a James Bond revival.
Of course, after we're sure of who is going to be the mastermind behind the film, the next big thing will be casting the main actor, since playing the iconic spy is always a landmark for the actor that snatches the part.
