Regé-Jean Page and Halle Bailey to star in 'Italianna'

According to Deadline's exclusive note, British actor Regé-Jean Page ('Bridgerton') has landed his next role alongside Halle Bailey ('The Little Mermaid'), with Universal Pictures being the one to order the movie with Kat Corio ('Marry Me') directing a screenplay by Ryan Engle ('Rampage').

The movie title is 'Italianna', and we know that it is an original idea by Engle and his wife, and Will Packer Productions will be the company behind this film, but the details about the plot, despite the casting happening so quickly in order to start production as soon as possible, are not out to the public.

Both Halle Bailey and Regé-Jean Page have a lot of upcoming projects in the works that should start coming out later this year, so they are both currently very popular actors with busy schedules that the studio was really looking forward to work with them, as well as working with director Kat Corio after Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson's 'Marry Me' which was also for Universal Pictures.

It's likely that production will start soon and more people will be adding to the class, and of course, as soon as we have some information about the plot details of 'Italianna' and what type of movie it will be, we'll be sharing everything that we find out.
