'Jurassic World Rebirth': What we know about the new installment

'Jurassic World Rebirth' is the upcoming seventh installment of a legendary franchise that has been around for over 30 years, since the first 'Jurassic Park' movie by Steven Spielberg came out back in 1993, a groundbreaking movie that set the standards for Science Fiction really high.

Now, with the technology as advanced as it is for movie making, the things directors and teams can do with a science fiction movie are much more impressive and breathtaking if done right, that's why expectations by audiences are higher, too.

After 'Jurassic World Dominion' back in 2022, which left most people, including fans of the franchise, with a sour taste and a lot of bad things to say about it, and now the studio wants to redeem themselves, bringing a whole new team and cast to work on restoring the love for the franchise.

English filmmaker Gareth Edwards ('The Creator'; 'Rogue One') is directing the film, a science fiction lover that has acclaimed titles to his name in this genre, and Scarlett Johansson is starring alongside British actor Jonathan Bailey (Wicked) and Mahershala Ali (Green Book).

The events of 'Jurassic World Rebirth', according to the details out to the public at the moment since there is not a trailer yet, are occurring 5 years after 'Dominion', when a team has to go into the Tropics and retrieve genetic material of the three largest creatures there, in the hopes of creating a drug that could save human lives.
