The next big science fiction feature by Netflix, 'The Electric State' releases the first full trailer, with an ensemble cast including British actress Millie Bobby Brown, Chriss Pratt, Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan and many more.
'The Electric State' is an adaptation of a the graphic novel of the same name by swedish artist Simon Stålenhag, with directors Anthony and Joe Russo, known primarily from their work with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and their production credits, including award winning titles like 'Everything Everywhere All at Once'.
The script of the movie, by filmmakers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, is not as close to the original material as some fans might expect, but the focus of the film was to bring a new story to the already existing setup.
We have seen Netflix doing things like this with its adaptations in the past, so it's not news, either way from the visuals to the comedy tones in the trailer, the feature film seems to promise a good time, an adventure in an unknown world full of new wonders, with a $320 million budget to make the vision a reality.
Set to premiere in March 14, 2025, so there's still some months before we can see what the team made of it, but in the meantime we have a great trailer to enjoy. Even reading the graphic novels in the meantime if anything of what you see strucks your fancy and you can't wait to know more about this post apocalyptic world full of robots and mad scientists.
