Anya Taylor-Joy will star in Netflix's new thriller series, How to Kill Your Family, which begins filming in London next January. The series is based on Bella Mackie's popular novel. The eight-episode series tells the story of Grace Bernard (Taylor-Joy), the neglected daughter of a mean billionaire. Fueled by her mother's dying plea and her father's cruel rejection, Grace embarks on a quest for revenge. Heartbroken and facing betrayal, Grace meticulously plans her revenge and determines to eliminate her ruthless family members one by one. Therefore, as she carries out her deadly scheme, she begins to question the cost of her revenge and whether it might consume her entirely.
Taylor-Joy constantly proves track record of taking on complex and dark roles, as seen in her performances in films like The Witch, The Menu, and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. Her recent credits also include The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Amsterdam. How to Kill Your Family marks her return to television after her successful roles both Peaky Blinders and The Queen's Gambit back in 2020. In fact, her exceptional performance in that show, earned her prestigious awards, including a Golden Globe, a Critics' Choice Television Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Currently, she will star in How to Kill Your Family, as well as serving as executive producer.
