A new horror movie courtesy of A24 is on its way to the big screen this year and it promises to have everything the acclaimed Hollywood production company is known for. It's Talk To Me which, in fact, is debuting a chilling new trailer today. A24 has already made its mark in the Hollywood industry not only for having produced the Oscar-winning Everything Everywhere All at Once or the tragic The Whale for which Brendan Fraser won best actor of 2022. Rather, it owes its reputation to the rather traumatic but acclaimed horror films it has released and which, in fact, were the ones that put it on the map: Hereditary and Midsommar, both by director Ari Aster who this year released the controversial film Beau is Afraid with Joaquin Phoenix.
However, it's about time to get ready for A24's new horror project, which although it looks creepy and traumatic as well, we see that it bets a little more on the commercial side of horror cinema with a story starring teenagers and antagonized by demons and ghosts. This is due to their Los Angeles directors, Danny and Michael Philippou, creators of the YouTube channel RackaRacka, famous for creating videos that combine comedy with horror and grotesque elements. Although these guys are filmmakers by profession, they are very popular for their "cheap" content, so it will be appealing for their fans to see all his talent and ingenuity for the twisted in a big screen blockbuster.
Talk to Me stars Sophie Wilde as Mia, Alexandra Jensen as Jade, Joe Bird as Riley, Otis Dhanji as Daniel, Miranda Otto as Sue, Zoe Terakes as Hayley, and Chris Alosi as Joss.
