Rihanna to voice Smurfette in the next ‘SMURFS’ movie.

Rihanna continues to make headlines in the international media and after having presented one of the most impressive shows at halftime of Super Bowl LVII, in which she sang several of her best hits, it was recently confirmed that the Barbados-born singer will lend her voice to Smurfette, in the new production being prepared by Paramount Animation. All information comes from CinemaCon 2023, which has been taking place since April 23 and concludes today, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, to give the announcement to attendees at the national convention of movie theater owners. In fact, at the convention, Rihanna made a surprise appearance. Once, taking advantage of her presence at the convention, the artist told a little joke telling everyone that she tried to audition for Papa Smurf but it didn't work out.

Rihanna was accompanied at all times by the director of Paramount Animation, Ramsey Naito. On the other hand, the artist will also be in charge of starring, writing and recording the original songs for the film, so we will have new music! For her public appearance, the pop and R&B star wore a rather simple and comfortable outfit, for the moment she is going through with her second pregnancy.

One of the facts revealed by the director of Paramount Animation is that this new installment of The Smurfs will try to address identity issues and will make the film's viewers focus on a question such as "What is a Smurf?". The film will take inspiration on the original comics by Belgian artist Peyo, which tellsthe story on little creatures living together in a village surrounded by forest, building their homes among flowers, trees and mushrooms.
