Taylor Swift is the star of the night at the MTV EMAs 2022. The big winner of the night went home with four awards, including 'Best Artist', at a gala held this Sunday at the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf (Germany). Specifically, the singer has won the awards in the category of 'Best Artist', 'Best Pop Artist', 'Best Video' and 'Best Long Video', for the song 'All Too Well'. Against all odds, Taylor made a surprise appearance at the ceremony to collect the awards and thank her fans for the support that has led her to be crowned at the EMAs against other artists with whom she shared categories, such as Adele, Beyoncé, Harry Styles or Rosalía, who has left empty-handed despite having five nominations.
On the other hand, the best song, according to MTV EMAs, was Nicky Minaj's 'Super Freaky Girl' and Britain's Harry Styles took the award for 'Best Live'. The distinction of 'Best Latin' went to Annita, while in 'Best Electronic' won David Guetta, who also took the award for 'Best Collaboration' for his duet with Bebe Rexha in 'I'm good (blue)'. Best K-Pop' went to Lisa; 'Hip Hop' to Nicky Minaj; 'Best Rock' went to Muse; in 'Best Alternative' the band Gorillaz won; and in 'Best R&B', Chlöe. Meanwhile, the South Korean group Seventeen won 'Best Newcomer' and 'Best Push', but BTS shined in 'Biggest Fans'.
Likewise, Catalan singer Bad Gyal has won MTV's Europe Music Award (EMA) for 'Best Spanish Artist' after beating other outstanding performers of the year 2022 in the popular vote. Specifically, the author of songs like 'La Prendo' or 'Fiebre' competed in this category with Rosalía, Quevedo, Fito & Fitipaldis and Dani Fernández.
