Taylor Swift fans are suing Ticketmaster for 'price fixing' and 'fraud'. Following the ticketing problems for Swift's 'Eras' tour in North America, in which Ticketmaster canceled the general sale due to high demand and insufficient ticket inventory, several fans are now suing the ticketing company.
According to TMZ, a sue is now against the company for 'fraud, price fixing and antitrust violations' as well as 'intentional deception' after scalpers scooped up a large number of tickets.
The lawsuit claims that Ticketmaster is making the sales very difficult. They were about to handle the presale event. Meanwhile, the company previously issued an apology to Taylor Swift and her fans following the presale debacle. Lots of critics came against the ticketing and distribution after announcing the cancellation of general ticket sales.
'We strive to make buying tickets as easy as possible for fans. However, that has not been the case for many people trying to buy tickets for Taylor Swift -The Eras- Tour. First, we want to give an apology to Taylor and all of her fans, especially those who had a terrible experience trying to purchase tickets,' Ticketmaster says in a statement.
In fact, the apology came after Taylor Swift reveales that she was angry with the handle of the sales. "It's really hard for me to trust an outside entity with these relationships and loyalties, and it's unbearable for me to just watch mistakes happen without any resource"
"To those who didn't get tickets, all I can say is that I look forward to providing more opportunities for us to get together and sing these songs," Swift says.
The Eras Tour is beggining in the first trimester of 2023.
