Angelina Jolie is currently facing a custody battle against his ex-husband, Brad Pitt.
Recently, the actor requested to the California Court a revision,
After momentarily winning joint custody back in March, the court later
Dismissed the decision because the Judge had a professional relationship with Pitt.
For the last four years, Angelina has had full custody of the six children they’ve had together,
While Brad only had visitation rights.
For the first time in a while, the actress has spoken about the ongoing case.
She has clarified that the legal situation makes it hard to speak about certain details,
However, she answered the question of whether or not she had feared for the safety of her children,
"Yes, for my family. My whole family.”
In the interview she had with The Guardian, she criticized the fact that the U.S is the only country
That has not fully ratified the United Nations Convention on the rights of the child,
Something that, allegedly, has affected her own custody case.
Moreover, the actress complaint about her oldest son, Maddox (20) not being able to declare in court.
When asked about her own state after this long court battle, and whether these last four years have affected her,
She answered:
"I mean, in some ways, it's been the last decade. There's a lot I can't say."
"How am I? I'm realizing that sometimes you can survive things, but not know how to feel and live in the same way. So it's more about being open. I'm really trying to be open as a human being again."
As for right now, all we know is the petition that Brad Pitt made earlier this week.
Still, we don’t know why the actress is still battling to retain full custody,
And what are her experiences and reasons behind that decision.
