In a recent interview with director Ridley Scott, he mentions his plans to keep workin with Paul Mescal in future projects after their collaboration in 'Gladiator II', but he says that might not happen as soon as he wants (for his next film 'The Dog Stars') because his schedule is busy with 'The Beatles' biopics by Sam Mendes.
We recently talked about Barry Keoghan starring as Ringo Starr in one of the biopics, him being the top choice for the musician ever since the first rumous about the movie started going around. In this case, Paul Mescal is also the top choice by the public when it comes to Paul McCartney, and so far we didn't have a confirmation if it was happening or not.
We don't know yet if Scott revealed information he shouldn't have yet, or it was a good strategy so people could start talking about it on the internet, but thanks to him we know now that the actor's involvement with the project is actually happening, as a lot of people has been wanting.
For now, we can just wait for the people actually making the films to confirm or deny the things people have been saying about the cast, but so far it seems like they are going with the most popular pics.
They are all talented actors, of course, with Oscar nominations and several successful titles under their belts, so it's just about how much they can make them look like the actual Beatles, since that is what worries people about the biopics.
The films are still in early production, so it's a couple of years at best until we can see them, but in the meantime, we're gonna give every major update we find out about!
