After premiering on TIFF last September, the drama 'On Swift Horses' starring British actors Daisy Edgar-Jones and Will Poulter, alongside Jacob Elordi, Diego Calva and Sasha Calle, finally shares the first full trailer after Sony Pictures Classics gets the distribution rights.
The movie will premiere on the United States on April 25, 2025, and soon after that expand to the UK and the rest of the world, depending on the reception. Currently, after the few special screenings of the movie, it's holding a 65% on Rotten Tomatoes with 20 reviews, with mostly positive opinions.
'On Swift Horses' is an adaptation of the homonymous book by Shannon Pufahl from 2019, with a script by American screenwriter Bryce Kass, and director Daniel Minahan behind the project. Minahan's work is mostly directing TV, with credits in shows like 'Game of Thrones', 'Fellow Travelers', 'House of Cards' and many others, with this being his first movie since 2001.
The drama will follow the life and relationships of a family of sorts, after Lee (Poulter) and his wife Muriel (Edgar-Jones) try and build a new happy and calm life in California, alongside Lee's brother, Julius (Elordi). With just one trailer, we can alreday tell this will be a messy period drama, with love triangles and complicated relationships, with cheating, gambling and the excitement for the forbidden always in play.
Let's hope that after hitting theaters in the US, it can quickly expand to other markets so everyone can enjoy this love story.
