The Chucky series has been terminated after three seasons, according to Variety's Friday report. The third and final season, which culminated with our protagonist's arrival at the White House, was split into two parts and wrapped up in May. Plans for a shorter fourth season or a final movie were abandoned due to unsuccessful negotiations. Both USA Network and Syfy aired the horror comedy series. Season 3 of Chucky aired in two parts, in October 2023 and April-May 2024. Although both USA Network and Syfy discussed a shortened final season or a wrap-up film, negotiations ultimately failed.
Don Mancini, the series creator states "I’m heartbroken over the news that ‘Chucky’ won’t be coming back for a fourth season, but am so grateful for the killer three years we did have". In a oficial state for all the fans, he wrote “I’d like to thank UCP/SYFY/Peacock/Eat the Cat, our awesome cast and Toronto-based crew (the best in the business), and finally, to our amazing fans, a big bloody hug. Your incredible #RenewChucky campaign really warmed Chucky’s cold heart. Chucky will return! He ALWAYS come back.”
Following the events of 'Cult of Chucky,' the horror franchise 'Child's Play' continued with the series. Brad Dourif once again voiced the killer Good Guy doll. Actually, the actor reports that he is mostly retired, except for Chucky-related projects. The series also featured many actors from its original cast, including Zackary Arthur (The 5th wave), Björgvin Arnarson (Calington Castle), Alyvia Alyn Lind (Daybreak), Jennifer Tilly (7 days to Vegas), Alex Vincent (The Dark Military), Christine Elise (Nowhere to Land), Devon Sawa (Final Destination), Lachlan Watson (Chilling adventures of Sabrina), and Fiona Dourif (Law and Order).
