The White Lotus wraps up shooting in Thailand

The highly anticipated third season of HBO's satirical drama, The White Lotus, has officially concluded filming in Thailand. The series, renowned for its sharp social commentary and stunning locations, has once again selected a luxurious location for its latest installment. Creator and writer Mike White has crafted a new narrative centered around the complexities of wealth and spirituality, promising another season filled with unexpected twists and turns.

The cast for season three boasts a fresh group of talented actors, including Michelle Monagan (MaXXXine), Amy Lou Wood (Sex Education) and Parker Posey (Beau is Afraid). The only actress returning from both seasons will be Natasha Rothwell, who will reprise her role as Belinda. Their characters will navigate the intricacies of interpersonal relationships and different live's perspectives while vacationing at the fictional The White Lotus resort.

The White Lotus has received numerous award nominations through its two successful seaons, including multiple Emmy nominations for Best Drama Series, Best Supporting Actor and Actress, Best Directing, and Best Writing.

In a brief 7-second sneak peek shared by Max alongside other previews for its 2025 series, the plot remains shrouded in mystery. The only audible line, a reference to the iconic Las Vegas saying, is a character stating: 'What happens in Thailand, stays in Thailand.'

As with previous seasons, the series is anticipated to explore themes of class, privilege, and morality through the lens of its affluent guests. With filming complete, fans eagerly await the premiere of The White Lotus season three, hoping for another captivating and thought-provoking installment. While producers have not yet announced an official release date, the Hollywood strikes of 2023 caused production delays that will likely push The White Lotus premiere to sometime in 2025.
