The first installment of the series was watched by more than 100 million people worldwide, with 25 million global viewers on its first day, setting the record for the biggest premiere in the platform's history. Due to its success, Prime Video renewed the project for a second season. In fact, according to the first previews, everyone anticipates the imminent arrival of the mighty Sauron as the great villain of this story.
According to the official synopsis: “In the second season of The Rings of Power, Sauron has returned.
