Jacob Elordi talked about his first project with Guillermo del Toro after everyone find out that Andrew Garfield would no longer be in the film Frankenstein, the project in which the tapatío would be working now. A few days ago the site Deadline reported that there were changes in the cast of Frankenstein, as it was already official that the main actors would be Mia Goth, Oscar Isaac, Christoph Waltz and Andrew Garfield. The news came from Netflix.
The protagonist of Tick, Tick, Boom! is out of the project and, in his place, Elordi was the right option, who is currently one of Hollywood's favorite histrions for his performance in Saltburn. This change had not been confirmed until the night of January 19, when Jacob shared the news with Jimmy Fallon.
During Elordi's appearance on The Tonight Show, Fallon mentioned that he heard a rumor that he would be in Guillermo del Toro's new project, to which the actor, without hesitation, nodded and detailed that he will be playing the role of Frankenstein's monster. "Yes, I will be playing Frankenstein's creature," said the Euphoria star to cheers from the audience.
Elordi shared his excitement about working on this project with Del Toro, as it will be the recreation of one of cinema's classics in the hands of one of the most important monster movie directors in the world.
So far, the filmmaker has not spoked about his new casting, but it may be possible that Oscar Isaac will play the Doctor, while Mia Goth will be the Bride of Frankenstein and Waltz's role is completely unknown. As stated in October, filming was to begin this year, in February, but the dates may be diffrent due to the change of cast.
