The new trailer for 'Dune: Part Two,' offering a closer look at Denis Villeneuve's second chapter of Frank Herbert's sci-fi classic, arrives, the trailer gives us a glimpse of all-out war as Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) teams up with Chani (Zendaya) and the Fremen as they seek revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. "Faced with a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the universe, Paul must avoid a terrible future that only he can foresee," says the official synopsis.
The trailer also gives us our first look at Christopher Walken's Emperor Shaddam IV, a character who did not appear in the first film.
Dune: Part Two, which opens in theaters November 3, also stars Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Léa Seydoux, Stellan Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling and Javier Bardem. There is no doubt that Timothée and Zendaya will give their best in the film.
In fact, Dune: Part Two was officially announced last October after the first film grossed more than $40 million at the U.S. box office in its first weekend. Dune had several Oscar nominations, a total of 10, and took home six, including Best Sound, Visual Effects, Production Design, Music, Editing and Cinematography. Undoubtedly, totally deserved.
On what to expect from the sequel, Villeneuve previously told ET Canada: "I can't say anything about the movie, I don't like to talk about projects while I'm making them, but it will probably be the biggest release of my career.
