Via Variety reports that Emmy nominee Sydney Sweeney ('Euphoria') and Oscar winner Julianne Moore ('The Glorias') will star in an upcoming dramatic thriller titled 'Echo Valley'. Moore's role will be that of a grieving horse trainer named Kate Garrett, while Sweeney will play her wayward daughter Claire. In fact, Michael Pearce ('Encounter') will direct the film from a script written by Brad Ingelsby ('Mare of Easttown'), who has signed a multi-year deal with Apple TV+ and has created the film from scratch. In addition, acclaimed filmmaker Ridley Scott joins as producer through his Scott Free label, in a production that is already shooting scenes.
'Echo Valley' will follow Kate Garrett, a woman recovering from a personal tragedy who spends her days training horses at the secluded and picturesque Echo Valley Farm. One night, her wayward daughter Claire arrives at her door, frightened, trembling and covered in someone else's blood. From that moment on, Echo Valley becomes a gripping thriller about the lengths a mother will go to save her daughter.
'Echo Valley' will be executive produced by Rebecca Feuer and Nicole Jordan-Webber for Scott Free, Erika Olde and Sam Roseme for Black Bicycle Entertainment and Scott Greenberg.
The stars of this 'Echo Valley' will undoubtedly do a fantastic job, as they are both very talented actresses. For her part, Sydney Sweeney has made her career take off from small appearances in drama series like 'The Handmaids Tale' or 'Sharp Objects' until she had her big moment in 'Euphoria' and now leads productions on her own like the film 'Reality'. Meanwhile, Oscar winner Julianne Moore will not be far behind the young star in this production that will probably hit the screen next year.
