The upcoming sequel to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, titled Jurassic World: Rebirth is now in post production stage. The production wrapped up after months of shooting in various locations around the world, including the iconic Jurassic World theme park set. The project is the seventh film in the 31-year-old franchise and will hit theatres on July 2, 2025.
Starring Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey in lead roles, the film promises to deliver thrilling action sequences, stunning visual effects, and a captivating storyline that picks up where the previous installment left off. Actually, fans can expect to see familiar faces from the Jurassic World franchise, as well as new characters that will be introduced in this exciting chapter. While Johansson plays Zora Bennett, a skilled covert operations expert contracted to lead a team on a top-secret mission to secure genetic material from the world’s three most massive dinosaurs, Bailey plays paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis. Zora's team's adventure takes a dramatic turn when they encounter a shipwrecked family stranded on a mysterious island with a hidden secret.
Director Colin Trevorrow, who also helmed the previous project, has expressed his excitement about the finished product. "We've created something truly special with Rebirth" Trevorrow said in a statement. "The cast and crew have poured their hearts and souls into this movie, and I can't wait for audiences to see it." Steven Spielberg, through Amblin Entertainment, is executive producing and directing the upcoming film alongside Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley.
