Slow Horses team delivers a thrilling new trailer, promising an insane fourth season. The teaser opens with a dramatic explosion, setting the stage for another intense chapter in the lives of MI5’s misfits. Mick Herron's Slough House novels inspired the British spy thriller television series, since its premiere in April 2022, it has become a hit on the platform. Oldman leads an all-star cast on Slow Horses, including Jack Lowden (Dunkirk), Olivia Cooke (House of the Dragon), Kristin Scott Thomas (The English Patient), and Jonathan Pryce (Game of Thrones/The Crown).
Gary Oldman returns as the sharp-tongued Jackson Lamb, leading his team of disgraced agents through a new, perilous mission. The trailer hints at a complex operation filled with danger and deception. Season 4 introduces Hugo Weaving's character as he takes on Jackson Lamb. After several seasons of being a relatively underrated hit, Slow Horses recently received a boost from 9 Emmy nominations for this years' ceremony. That includes a nod for Oldman's lead performance and recognition of technical aspects.
Fans can expect more of the dark humor, espionage, and character-driven storytelling that made the series a hit. As Slough House faces a fresh threat, both familiar and new faces will navigate the treacherous world of intelligence. Apple TV+ has released the Slow Horses season 4 preview, ahead of the show's Sept. 4 return.
Additionally, Apple renewed the series for a fifth season last January. As usual, it will be based on 'London Rules,' the fifth book in the eight-novel Slough House series. There are also four related short stories following the story of Slow Horses, but it is still early to ancipate the tv adaptation for those.
