Freakier Friday, the upcoming American fantasy comedy film directed by Nisha Ganatra and written by Jordan Weiss just wrapped shooting in Los Angeles. Serving as direct sequel to Freaky Friday (2003), the announcement of this project has sent fans into a frenzy and total excitement, as the movie is a cherished gem of the 2000s. Jamie Lee Curtis, who is reprising her role as Tess Coleman celebrated the end of filming for the Freakier Friday on her Instagram account and, in addition to thanking the opportunity to reunite with Lindsay Lohan, which is also coming back as Anna Coleman on set. She also took the time to scold the paparazzi who intruded and released out-of-context images from the production.
On the flip side, Lindsay Lohan expressed her joy at the end of production ass well, by sharing a photo of herself on a bike. "That's a wrap on Freaky Friday! Huge thanks to the amazing cast, crew, producers, and Disney Studios for all their hard work and dedication," the 38-year-old actress wrote. In her recent interview with, Lohan said quite a few times that there has been "a lot of love, a lot of fun, a lot of laughs" on the set of the new film, for which she is taking guitar lessons and revealed that her character is now a mother to her own daughter. In the two decades since Freaky Friday premiered in 2003, Lohan said that she and Curtis "have stayed in touch."
Walt Disney Studios confirmed the production of the sequel back in June, and will hit theaters on mid 2025, as confirmed in the D23 Convention that took place earlier this month.
