The controversial yet iconic pop star Madonna has recently announced, since the comfort
of her own bathroom, that she is currently working on her biopic titled 'Little Sparrow',
and she is co-writing it with the 'Secretary (2002)' screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilson,
On February 2nd, the 63 years old artist published an improvised photoshoot on her Instagram,
wearing an all back suit the Madonna-style, while posing on her toilet, captioning the post with
'I Do My Best Work In The Bathroom...' and in it, she's holding the script of her upcoming biopic,
where she shares a little sneak peek of a scene, and the title for the first time: 'Little Sparrow'
We've known for some time that Madonna was interested in releasing a biopic of herself,
and there even were rumors that she was working with Diablo Cody, Juno's writer,
but they had some creative differences, so Cody retreated from the project, leaving
Madonna to work with Erin Cressida Wilson, who apparently is the one that will go
with the project until the end.
The director is still missing, but we hope that she can find the perfect match,
since a biopic about THE Madonna is a really interesting idea, being an artist
with a long-lived career like her, so full of controversies and different eras, with so
much contrast between each other, while also getting to know her vulnerability,
and what was going on behind the public life.
Making a biopic with the person they're portraying so involved in the process, and so interested
in telling the story, sounds like the right thing, that way it can be faithful and respectful of
what actually happened, instead of falling into allegations and assumptions, or harmful commentary
Let's hope we have all the details soon enough, about cast, director, and the beginning of the
production.
