Instagram is now implementing a paid subscription for some creators.
Is a subscription for users to access exclusive live images or videos on the social network.
According to the company in a statement, with this monetization tool, they seek to offer creators an alternative
way to increase their income on the social network and connect and interact with their followers.
"Creators inspire people around the world with their talents and push culture forward every day.
At Meta, we strongly believe in enabling creators to make a living through our platforms and
have built a suite of tools to allow them to do that."
Instagram subscriptions are currently available to a small group of creators in the United States.
In fact, the tool is divided into three sections.
On the one hand, Subscriber Lives, live videos to which subscribers have exclusive access.
These differ from other live content because they appear surrounded by a purple circle,
Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri has confirmed.
Subscriber Stories, on the other hand, are stories intended only for users who have subscribed to
these channels, who can interact with the creators with the use of 'stickers.'
Finally, Subscriber Badges is an option that allows content creators to identify their subscribers
with a purple icon when they comment on their posts.
In fact, Creators implementing subscriptions will be able to set the monthly price they wish.
In addition, they can include a button on their profile so that their followers become subscribers.
Additionally, Instagram, like Facebook, will not charge commissions to creators using the tool until 2023.
This format for earning revenue from posts would be complemented by other existing services for
content generation, such as Instagram Collabs.
