In an exclusive for The Direct at SXSW, Brad Fuller confirms that 'A Quiet Place 3' is officially happening and there's nothing to worry about just because of a delay, especially after the success of 'A Quiet Place: Day One' that made over $260 million worldwide, almost four times the original $67 million budget.
British actress Emily Blunt has said that she will be reprising her role as Evelynn, our main character, in 'A Quiet Place 3' only if her husband, actor and director John Krasinski, comes back to direct the third film. Meaning that the cause of the significant delay in this production (over 4 years now) is because of Krasinski's full schedule.
According to producer Brad Fuller, the film should start moving along as soon as Krasinski finishes the project he's currently working on, so he can direct and start in the highly anticipated third part of 'A Quiet Place', and possibly the last installment of the main storyline.
At the moment the franchise has gathered over $900 million, with the two main films and the prequel all being massive hits in the box office, of course it's in the studios best interests to make this film happen since the expectations are high for box office performance.
We'll possibly be hearing more about the film for next year, and hopefully it can deliver great quality or, if they decide to end the main storyline with it, a proper closure to the beloved franchise. In the meantime, if you haven't yet, there's three movies you can watch if you like suspense and being at the edge of your seat during the entire runtime of a movie, so make sure to check them now on Paramount+ streaming service.
