British filmmaker and producer Guy Ritchie parnerts with novelist and screenwriter Ronan Bennett for 'MobLand', a crime drama series for MTV Entertainment Studios, airing this March 30 on Paramount+ streaming service.
Announced back in 2024 as a spin-off series for Showtime's 'The Donovans' and later moving as its own project, and filming beginning in November, meaning there weren't any delays and production and in just a year and a month we're having this epic story in our screens.
Starring elite performers like Tom Hardy, Oscar winner Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan (Our fifth James Bond, Paddy Considine and many more, since they're going all out with the ensemble cast for this story following a fixer (Hardy) for the rich Harrigan family (Brosnan and Mirren as the heads of the family).
There aren't many other plot details out for the public, but the title is pretty illustrative of what we can expect from 'MobLand', lots of action, guns, and corruption going on under everyone's noses, with the guy that has to take care of the dirty work to keep the image of the Harrigan family clean being front and center.
Ritchie is directing some episodes of the series while serving as executive producer, but the specific details about other directors or writers (besides Ronan Bennett) working in the project are not out yet.
Considering the series is premiering in less than a month, it'll only be a couple of days before a full trailer hits the internet alongside some early reviews, and we'll know if this Paramount+ release will be as impactful as the cast and crew behind it.
