'Alien, the Eight Passenger' was one of those films that at the time of its release, June 1979 in the United States, marked a before and after in horror cinema. Under the direction of Ridley Scott, its success led to three sequels, all starring an iconic Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley, which were split between James Cameron ('Aliens: The Return'), David Fincher ('Alien 3') and Jean-Pierre Jeunet ('Alien: Resurrection'). After the break from the two prequels, again with Scott at the controls, 'Prometheus' and 'Alien: Covenant', the franchise expands by proposing a new installment set between the events narrated in chapters one and two. The result it is 'Alien: Romulus' and already has a final trailer.
A trailer in which the most outstanding feature is to embrace the purest horror, but without forgetting the action. Signed by Fede Álvarez, responsible for beloved genre titles such as the remake of 'Evil Dead' or 'Don't Breathe', the film focuses on a group of young colonizers who arrive at an abandoned space station. It will be there where they encounter another of the brand's stars, the dreaded xenomorph. Starring Cailee Spaeny ('Civil War'), Isabela Merced ('The Last of Us') and David Johnson ('Industry'), the film will release in thaters on August 16.
Cailee Spaeny has become one of the most promising actresses in Hollywood. This is official by titles such as 'Priscilla', directed by Sofia Coppola and for which she won the Volpi Cup for best actress at the last Venice Film Festival. But before that she had also appeared in 'Pacific Rim: Insurrection', 'Bad Times at El Royale', 'The Vice of Power', 'Devs' and 'Mare of Easttown'.
