Percy Jackson and the Olympians is back with its second season. Filming will begin in the next few days in Vancouver and the author of the books and creator of the series, Rick Riordan, has confirmed new additions to the cast, where Daniel Diemer will play Tyson, according to Deadline. Joining them will be the usual actors, consisting of Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase and Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood.
At the San Diego Comic-Con on July 25, the actor expressed his excitement about playing the character, having been a fan of the saga since he was a young boy: “I am thrilled and honored to enter the extraordinary universe of ‘Percy Jackson and the Gods of Olympus’. I have ben a fan of the books since I was 10 years old and it is really special to be part of this and embark on such an exciting adventure with such a great cast and crew and, of course, passionate fans. I can't wait to bring Tyson to life and share his journey with you all.”
Best known for his role in the Netflix romance film 'The Half of It' and the series 'The Midnight Club', Diemer this time dives into the fantasy stories of Percy Jackson to play the books' endearing Cyclops and bring a breath of fresh air to this second installment.
