SZA can say that 'Ctrl', her debut, released in 2017, fulfills these both factors: to be a contemporaneous classic and to represent a high-quality work. The album got excellent reviews upon its release and, apparently, people in the US can't get enough of it: 'Ctrl' has been on Billboard's albums chart for FIVE years, and has never left it.
This week it's at #28, as if it came out a month ago, not five years ago.
In all this time we have been wondering where exactly SZA's second album is.
However, with 'Ctrl' still, at the top of the charts, it's no wonder the artist says she's in "no rush" to get it out.
Her statements have been given in the popular entertainment media, Complex.
She has been saying that the album will come out when the right time comes and that it is not meeting any deadlines. She has even given assurances that she is not "stuck" in her profession and that she sees herself doing something else in the future. "I have no idea what the album is about or what it sounds like" were her exact words.
On the other hand, the singer told Complex that becoming a mother is one of her biggest dreams.
She desires to have kids "really soon".
Awaiting news about SZA's second album, the artist has recently triumphed with her "single" singles.
Most notably with his collaboration with Doja Cat on 'Kiss Me More',
but also solo with 'I Hate U' or, recently, with his duet with Doechii on 'Persuasive'.
We are hoping to hear her new music very soon!
