Actress Lea Michele will soon begin a new chapter in her life. The artist will soon make her debut as Fanny Brice in Broadway's Funny Girl. However, the 35-year-old actress wanted to address certain past issues about her personal life. Among those issues are the allegations against her for her behavior with her colleagues in the show 'Glee'.
It all goes back to June 2020, Glee star Samantha Ware accused Michele of making her experience on the show "hell" said she faced "traumatic microaggressions" from the actress. At the time, Michele issued an "apology" for the way in which she hurt other people. Now, the Scream Queens actress said the allegations against her caused her an "intense time of reflection."
"I really understand the importance and value now of being a leader," she told the New York Times in an interview published Sept. 1. "It means not only going in and doing a good job when the camera is rolling, but also when it's not rolling. And that wasn't always the most important thing to me." She continued, "I have an advantage for me. I work very hard. I leave no room for mistakes. That level of perfectionism, or that pressure of perfectionism, left me with a lot of blind spots."
On the other hand, that wasn't the only topic Michele talked about in the interview. The artist also addressed the rumor that she cannot read or write. "I went to 'Glee' every day, I knew my lines every day," Michele told NYT. "And then there's a rumor online that I can't read or write? It's sad. It really is. I often think that, if I were a man, a lot of this wouldn't be the case."
