Since 2009, Lea Michele has endeared herself to all Glee fans.
And during these years, it has been known what is the great dream of the actress and singer: to star in the Broadway musical Funny Girl.
Finally that dream has come true.
Starting September 6, Lea will officially play Fanny Brice on the New York circuit.
Funny Girl is a musical known to many, originally premiered in 1960 on Broadway.
The play originally starred the iconic Barbra Streisand as Fanny.
And after its success, In 1968 became a historic cult film.
The plot follows the life of comedian Fanny Brice, the progress of her career and her stormy relationship with her husband, Nicky Arnstein.
Lea Michele has history with the play's protagonist Fanny Brice.
Lea's character on Glee, Rachel Berry, is a character whose idol was Barbra Streisand and who
longed for years to play Fanny Brice.
Thanks to this production, Lea Michele has already performed the musical's songs on television, receiving great praise.
As soon as she heard the news, the actress was quick to show her joy to all her fans through her instagram account.

to the stage playing Fanny Brice on Broadway. See you September 6th."
The artist expressed interest in starring in Funny Girl on Broadway early in her career.
And was even on the verge of doing so years ago with Ryan Murphy, creator of Glee.
On Broadway, Lea Michele will be joined by actress Julie Benko, who will play Fanny Brice every Thursday,
and will also fill in for Feldstein during August until Michele assumes the titular role.
