The talent show is the responsible for the fame of big, pop music phenomenons
Like One Direction, Little Mix and Leona Lewis.
In fact, thanks to One Direction the show gained even more popularity.
Several countries have premiered similar shows, which have also been huge successes.
Still, there was zero news about the original UK version.
However, a statement from ITV was published in The Sun, explaining the situation regarding the show:
"There are no current plans for the next series of The X Factor at this stage."

Moreover, the show will be put to rest for at least five years.
In 2010, 19.6 million viewers saw the final program where Matt Cardle beat One Direction.
But in recent years, the number of viewers went down to just 2 million.
Simon Cowell, the creator of the show, hasn't spoken about the news.
What we do know is that Cowell will be judging in a new talent show
Called Walk The Line.
It is sad news for fans of the format, which were super loyal to the show.
