Retired boxer and double Olympic champion Nicola Adams is ready to take over 'Strictly Come Dancing' with her professional partner, Katya Jones.
In an interview with the host Tess Daly, Adams affirmed that her eyes are on the final prize. One of his goals is to show her full personality on stage so people could see a new, fun, and bubbly side of her.
In Adams' words, she wants to set fire to the dance floor and show off her best moves.
Several records marked Adam's boxing career. In 2012 she became the first openly gay boxer to win the gold medal at the London Olympics. Four years later, she would become the first boxer in history to retain her title as a gold medalist in Rio 2016.
Now, in this new stage of her career, the boxer is ready to knock out the competition. Her new goal alongside Jones is becoming the first same-sex couple to win on 'Strictly Come Dancing.'
Katya Jones has also shown her enthusiasm on social media for this new season of Strictly Come Dancing. We recently saw the professional dancer on an Instagram Live talking about what she has been preparing for her new partner.
The winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2017 said she couldn't sleep at night. Katya feels so full of creativity; she can't stop planning new moves and choreographies.
It seems Katya Jones has her eyes on the prize. This highly-competitive couple will become one of the strongest once the competition starts.
Prior to the official release of 'Strictly Come Dancing,' we enjoyed a special pre-show where all the couples and judges of this edition were revealed.
Cohosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman explained some of the changes taken on stage to follow covid prevention.
There will be no live audience, and social distance will be kept in this new season. Additionally, each participant has taken two covid tests before coming to the stage.
