Chevy Chase is currently attending rehab.
The ‘National Lampoon’s Vacation’ actor is an in-patient at the Hazelden Addiction Treatment Center in Minnesota, the same center where Robin Williams was treated in 2014, for an alcohol-related problem.
According to TMZ the star has entered the rehabilitation centre for a "tune up" and "wants to be the best that he can be".
But this is not the first time Chevy goes to rehab. The 72-year-old actor checked into the Betty Ford drug rehab centre in 1986 for a painkiller addiction.
His publicist said at the time that he’d developed a "dependency on prescription drugs relating to chronic and long-term back problems".
The issue occurred when he was a cast member on ‘Saturday Night Live’.
The actor due to appear in movies ‘The Christmas Apprentice’ and ‘Dog Years’, both of which have wrapped production.
Between 2007 and 2009 he starred in two episodes of ‘Family Guy’, one as himself and another as Clark Griswold.
He has also appeared in ‘Law & Order’ and numerous episodes of ‘SNL’, which he hosted for eight episodes from 1978 to 1997.
