Julia Fox, the Italian-American actress, model, and writer, will perform the lead role in a new project. The actress gained widespread recognition for her role in the 2019 thriller film Uncut Gems. Julia Fox will star alongside Ashley Moore (I Know What You Did Last Summer) and newcomer Micaela Wittman (Remy and Arletta). Millicent Hailes, who has directed music videos for artists such as Pussy Riot, Billie Eilish, Tinashe, Alok Vaid-Menon, and Mia Khalifa, is helming the film in her feature debut. Production is due to begin next month.
"Perfect" takes place at a picturesque but dilapidated lakeside resort in the California mountains. In a world where climate change is affecting everyone's lives, the film follows a wealthy pregnant woman (Fox) who falls in love with a younger woman (Moore). Their relationship turns into complication and struggle by an upcoming birth, social events, and differing perspectives on the future. Moreover, Wittman will portray a town local who guides Moore's character through the obstacles that arise during her fractured romantic experience with Fox's character. In addition, Lio Mehiel (Mutt) and Debi Mazar (Younger/Goodfellas) are in talks to join the cast. Douglas Riggs and Tyler Payne of Steak and Rosé, Liz Cardenas, and Nathan Scherrer and Tara Sheree of Freenjoy Productions will produce Perfect, with Julia Fox serving as executive producer. They are famous writers from projects as Jennifer Lopez' "This is me: Now".
The film will likely premiere during 2025 although its production is now in early stages. In the meantime, Julia Fox is gearing up for a busy schedule. She will perform next in Steven Soderbergh's "Presence" with Lucy Liu and the horror thriller "Him" produced by Jordan Peele (Get out/Nope).
