Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund have split after nearly three years together and a year after welcoming their first child.
A source close to the couple confirmed the news to People magazine.
In addition, also reported that both "are doing everything possible to find the best
co-parenting system," but it has been a very complicated time.
Both began dating before the March 2019 pandemic.
Throughout their romance, the couple kept their relationship relatively secret.
Roberts explained that one of the reasons she wanted to keep her private life to herself is because
she became famous at a very young age.
The couple looked very much in love and after more than a year, in December 2020 they welcomed their son Rhodes.
Prior to Rhodes' birth, a source said the actress was "bonding a lot" as she prepared to be a family of three.
However, the news was not official until January, when the actress shared the first photo of
her little one on social networks.
"Thank you 2020 for getting one thing right. Our bright light Rhodes Robert Hedlund" Emma wrote in a
post on her social networks.
In fact, the news has come as a surprise to many of his followers.
Although the actress rarely shared photos with Garrett on social media, she did show several moments with her baby.
Even uploaded photos of Rhodes' first birthday celebration to her Instagram account.
Therefore, there was never a fracture in their family relationship.
Garrett is best known for his participation in Hollywood films such as "Troy", "Inside Llewyn Davis" and "Unbroken".
While Emma is recognized for her role in the horror-comedy "Scream Queens" and "American Horror Story".
