Film director Jean-Marc Vallée has died at his home near Quebec (Canada).
Variety magazine reports the death of the filmmaker.
The cause of death is unknown. The information has been confirmed by one of his partners, American producer
Nathan Ross who described Vallée as a friend and older brother to him.
"Jean-Marc stood for creativity, authenticity, and trying things differently.
He was a true artist and a generous, loving guy. Everyone who worked with him couldn't help but see the
talent and vision he possessed.
He was a friend, creative partner, and an older brother to me.
The maestro will sorely be missed, but it comforts knowing his beautiful style and impactful
work he shared with the world will live on". Nathan said in a statement.
Born on March 9, 1963, in Montreal, Vallée made his debut as a video clip director.
in 1995 he released his first feature film, entitled 'Liste Noire.'
Then, later in 2009, he had the opportunity to work with Emily Blunt, who led the cast of 'The Young Victoria.'
In fact, the film won an Oscar for best costume.
In addition, the international success came in 2013 with 'Dallas Buyers Club'.
