On December 15 Jemie Spears, father of Britney Spears petitioned the court for the singer
to pay her legal representation fees to ensure that the guardianship exercised since 2008 is concluded and
that Los Angeles judge eliminated in mid-November.
Before the guardianship came to an end, it was Toxic's interpreter who financially took care
of the legal expenses for both her and her father each time they went to court.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the document presented states that "The fiduciary obligations
that Jamie owes did not end with the suspension or with the order to terminate the guardianship."
So, if the singer does not pay the legal feed could imply a personal bankruptcy for her father.
"Timely payment on account of Jamie's attorneys' fees is necessary to ensure that
guardianship can end quickly and efficiently.
Thus, allowing Britney to take control of her life as she and Jamie desire."
Likewise, the petition ensures that no one would want to assume the role of guardian if forced to personally
pay the representation fees "defending unfounded accusations."
"Jamie should not be obliged to sacrifice his personal well-being defending his administration.
Every action so far has been with the advice and approval of others in these proceedings, including the Court."
The brief concludes.
This new controversy adds to the scandal that emerged a few days ago.
It came to light that in 2008 Jamie obtained a loan of $40,000 from the Tri Star Sports & Entertainment Group company
while Britney remained hospitalized under psychiatric supervision, and one more
hear he later hired the company to handle his daughter's finances.
