Glastonbury Festival was set to come back this year.
Of course, during 2020 it was impossible to make the famous festival happen.
And sadly, in January the producers of the event announced that the festival won't be happening this year.
On all of the Festival's Social Media platforms, the producers announced why they took that decision.
Obviously, the main reason behind this cancelation is Covid-19 safe protocol.
back in January, the vaccination programs hadn't started.
And even though the vaccination rates are going very well.
The producers didn't consider it a great idea to be letting the festival go on.
However, they shed a light of hope for fans of the Festival.
As they announced a plan of having a "mini-version"
With a massive concert that would only be one day long.
This concert would have held more than 50,000 people.
The "Fall event" had many people excited for attending a live show after almost two years.
However, this Tuesday Emily Eavis, co-organizer of the music festival declared:
"We've decided not to go ahead with the September gig idea for a number of reasons
so we're putting all of our energy into the campsite for now!"
In the short message that broke thousands of people's hearts
She only mentioned "A number of reasons..."
Still, the most evident one seems to be the still-growing cases of Covid.
That sadly is still affecting many productions.
As Covid cases have spiked again, making entertainment productions stop.
Like the Bridgerton filming
And many other live shows in theatres.
Fans of the festival will have to wait for next year to see their favorite artists performing again.
