Martin Roberts would "love" to join this year\'s \'Strictly Come Dancing\' line up.
The 56-year-old television presenter confessed that it would be "very funny" if he were to join the BBC ballroom show as his former \'Homes Under The Hammer\' co-host Lucy Alexander is desperate to take part in the programme and if he got the gig before her it would "do her nut".
Speaking about his desire to learn the cha-cha-cha in an interview with Express.co.uk, he said: "I bought dinner with Bruno Toniolo, I think I can bend his ear. I know Lucy would love to do \'Strictly\' but I know if I got on Strictly before she did, it would absolutely do her nut! I don\'t want to do it for just that reason of course but it would be very funny! She would go absolutely basket, it would be very, very funny."
The television personality appeared on jungle reality show \'I\'m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here\' in 2016 and thinks his foray into reality TV may have scuppered his chances of getting the call from producers on \'Strictly\'.
He said: "I think I was told you can\'t go on \'Strictly\' if you\'ve been on \'I\'m A Celebrity...\', but it\'s been three years, it\'s approaching that amount. I thought I would have had a call by now it\'s looking unlikely."
Martin went on to speculate over whether his former co-star Lucy, 48, will ever return to \'Homes Under The Hammer\' and insisted that although it was her choice to leave the show her spirit definitely lives on.
He said: "It\'s her decision, the thing is, she\'s still on it because the way the show works, we revisit properties. So she\'s always around."
