Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is coming to theaters next Friday, April 15th and the
critics are already giving their opinions on the movie, and so far it's not looking very good for the movie,
currently Rotten with 59% and 60 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes at the moment, but we still need to figure what
the general audience will have to say after the release, of this third installment of the franchise in the Harry Potter
Universe.
So far, with some of the reviews at the moment, the major thing being said is that the writing oftentimes lacks
substance, leaving you wanting something more, even though the cast goes the extra mile to make you fall
for the characters and get interested in what they have to tell, especially with the newest addition to the cast:
Mads Mikkelsen as Gellert Grindelward, that makes a terrific job at making the villain a really charming character
that you get to feel empathetic towards him and his troubled relationship with Dumbledore, in this little
cat and mouse game they are playing.
'The Secrets of Dumbledore' is filled with some thrilling moments and some good sequences, but overall
it feels lackluster and like something is missing, and it gets boring at moments. Some are saying
that the movie even feels like an afterthought, something that wasn't really planned all the time
but they had to make it as a money grab to continue the franchise.
And after the various statements that the creator, J. K. Rowling, has made on Twitter, the general public is not
really content with what she's saying about trans people and how much misinformation she's spreading about
the trans community, especially the Harry Potter audience, that in the majority are young open-minded people,
and a lot of them are trans too.
Let's wait and see what's the general reaction after the theater release.
