Everybody Hates Chris is about the trials and tribulations of teenage Chris (Tyler James Williams) -- and about many real-life issues, such as dealing with strict parents, constantly being picked on by a racist bully at school, and having a more popular, better-looking, taller younger brother.

Based on comedian Chris Rock's childhood in Brooklyn, the early '80s-set show puts an unusual spin on the usual sitcom formula. Rock narrates, there's no laugh track, and stories deal humorously with real issues.

Chris' parents work multiple jobs and still struggle to pay the bills, all while making sure their kids get a good education and stay on the straight and narrow.

Everybody Hates the Pilot

Inspired by his childhood experiences, comedian Chris Rock narrates the hilarious, touching story of a teenager named Chris who struggles to cope with being uprooted to a new neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York and bused for the first-time to a predominantly white middle school two-hours away, while keeping his younger siblings Drew and Tonya in line at home.

Everyone Hates Keisha

When Rochelle hires their young neighbor Keisha to tutor Drew in math, Chris sees this as his chance to impress the girl next door, but his plans go awry when Keisha makes her own moves.

Everyone Hates Basketball

Everybody Hates A Part-Time Job

Tired of "hand-me-up" winter coats from Drew, Chris decides that a leather jacket will make him look "cool," but he learns the value of a dollar when he goes to work with his dad to earn the money to buy one.

Everybody Hates Picture Day

With Rochelle's help, Chris tries to find an outfit for his school picture so perfect that the other kids will finally think he's cool.
